Before I go on I want to say that I actually do like desolate in a way. it has so much potential but falls short in every aspect. half of the games loot is useless and there is a small handful of actual weapons. combat is sluggish and takes time to get used to but in the end is still pretty\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665 and don't even get me started on the \u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665ing dialogue. who in the hell wrote the dialogue for this game? someone that doesnt understand how to write a story or a character arch.Also the advanced difficulty settings are stupid, at first it seemed like an interesting idea, pretty much configure the diffiulty in a way that makes it feel more challenging or less challenging depending on what you wanted and how good at the game u are. but even at the highest difficulty I could bring it too the game was still too simple, its the same thing over and over and over and over again. i mean i had reached max level before i was even half way through the main story line because i was doing all the side quests (which side quests basicaly lead to nothing besides giving u a rank up with the respective quest giver (engineer, biologist etc)Honestly I dont even know how to get across what im trying to saythis game is\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665 complete garbage and a waste of money. another survival horror crafting game that everyone will forget about soon enough. This is an amazing survival game! Sure the animations may be a bit goofy, and the sounds may be sub-par, but this is an all around entertaining title. There are plenty of PVE servers for those who just want to kill mutants without dealing with other players at the same time, and as usual there are the official servers where mutants aren't your only problem. I have been playing this game solo, and I have been having a great time. I do not really understand all of the negative reviews, but as a solo player, I recommend (though I am excited to play with my friends).
