The art style is very cool and there's some profound, abstract text, but what sold me on it was the great puzzle design that slowly grew more and more complicated, but never completely unmanageable. The game is very good at letting you work things out for yourself—there's very few obvious tutorial levels beating you over the head with each new mechanic, which I like. I like when puzzle games assume I'm smart.Interestingly, unlike most puzzles I found the difficulty peaked halfway through, rather than at the end, so if you're partway through and the color mixing is boggling your mind, don't give up! I believe in you.. A visually interesting and well designed set of 40 logic puzzles, which almost gets away with teaching the player the game's rules entirely without words. It isn't the most involved puzzle game I've played, but it was nice to play through for the 4 hours it lasted while listening to the game's ambient soundtrack. I found it a really enjoyable bite sized experience and would recommend giving it a look if you enjoy logic puzzles.. Lovely colour matching puzzle game! The art (!) and soundtrack in this game are stunning. The gameplay is chill. It starts off easy, but the difficulty ramps up quickly; it's always a challenge. This game gives you plenty hours of puzzling fun.Although the concept of the game is easy, it may take some time to get used to some mechanics as it's not explained. You have to figure it out yourself which isn't a bad thing actually.9,5/10. It is really cute and the puzzles are worthwhile!. I found this game to be fun, relaxing, beautiful at times, a little bit too... 'trying for whimsy' at times, and overall quite good. Worth playing if you want a simple, but challenging puzzle game with a lot of character.. Fun and challenging but not too difficult. Beautiful environment and great audio, definitely recommended for puzzle lovers.. First of all, it's a puzzle game. Reducing the game to its core, to its playing/game mechanics, the first few levels are nice to play, but nothing innovative at all. Step after step, the difficulty increases, then when you managed to master the first type of challenge, every few levels a new twist is added. (The principle of all the puzzles is some kind of variation of the riddle with the river, the fox, the cabbage, the goose, the farmer and the boat; but in later levels much more complicated and demanding.) This is done so perfectly, that, in fact, the game never gets boring, no, quite the opposite is true, you slowly become addicted: just one more, just one more... If you manage to solve a level, you feel deeply satisfied. So, you have a kind of game, you've probably played many, many times before, but here something rare happened, it is executed just perfect. What makes it escpecially beautiful is the fantastic art style and the surreal "story".This game gives you even more than it might look like to you!. Beautiful color puzzle game with nice art style. It takes you about 20 minutes to get used to the logic of the game, but once you have it, it's really fun deciphering the level. I enjoy playing it with my girlfriend on the sofa. When my brain is weak her's it's strong.. I got this from a Humble Bundle monthly. She Remembered Caterpillars is a puzzle game where you have bridges and gates that are all color coded as well as characters you control that are color coded. Characters can blend together to form other colors (ie blue+yellow =green) and you can change colors of a character later on. You can only cross a bridge if your character is the same color or at least partially the same color (so blue can cross a blue bridge but green can also cross a blue bridge to get a yellow character across.) Gates work the opposite way, you cannot cross a gate if you are the same color. The goal is to have each character you control standing on each finish point of each map. Those are not color coded so you have to figure out how to get each character there. The game is quite challenging, especially the later levels. Oddly enough, there were some later levels that I found incredibly easy and solved them in a minute while there were others that I was completely stumped on. I'm not sure if I just got lucky or what. The game is definitely great at making you think and you have to get creative. Not know what color needs to be where to complete each level can really throw you for a loop. Some that I had a lot of trouble with, I was too focus on getting on character to what I thought would be their obvious final destination but after playing around, I figured it was not. The game is about 4 hours long, achievements are super easy to get to perfect the game once you do complete it. If you enjoy puzzle games, I'd recommend it, but if you're not a puzzle fan, just skip this one, it's not the game for you.
